The design of a house at the Kruisweg in Lansingerland is situated in a rural area. On the site there is an existing house and barn, which will be demolished. A big house with an extensive program is wishful.
A transparent floor plan on top of an invisible basement makes the attic floor appear to float.
On ground floor, the spacious living area meanders like a river along some dominating elements. The open space gives holes upstairs and downstairs, with several voids, several staircases and secret stairs.
A concrete box as basement, a floating ground floor with crossed steal beams and an upper floor constructed of cross layer wood covered with cane are the main construction themes and the main architectural themes of the house.
