The project is a farmhouse located near the village Oostburg in the south-west of Holland. The current house doesn’t acquire the normal quality benefits anymore. The location of the house is on top of an old sea wall, the highest point in the area. According to the urban development plan it is allowed to build a 500 m3 house.
Three floors are being made: an underground introvert space, an open living room on ground floor, and a small space on first floor with a view towards the water.
A slalom-construction of floors and walls gives a frame for orientation and materialization of the different floors. The direction of the street and the position of the barn, combine to a stepped back construction on every floor.
The preference is to make a basic form of 300 M3, a stepped back composition on first floor of 150 M3 and an underground space of 300 M3 with entrance and carport.
