Farm “De Eikenhof” is situated at Mingersborg in Voerendaal, the Netherlands. A masterplan transforms the present situation as a farm into ‘De Eikenhof’ as a recreation estate for mind- & lifestyle-oriented guests. The site is organized in farm, fields and eco-zone.
The themes of the Eikenhof will be gastronomic (organic food treatments), farm (stables & farm shop), spiritual (body & mind treatments), biologic (organic nursery garden) and tourism (lodge’s).
Osteria Rio, restaurant at the centre of the site with lobby and library
Passage, stables and craftmanship farm shop along the main road
Klooster, zen-garden with lodges at the edge of the farm
Oranjerie, event location with potted plants situated in the organic garden
Heuvelland, the field with fruit trees, crops and hiking trails towards the eco-zone, and the lodges overlooking the field
Wood and plaster for the existing farmhouse and barn, natural dark steel with glass for the glasshouse, traditional wood construction for the shed, natural wood construction and finishing for the lodges and all the small practice and service units, are the main materials for the project.
